Meat and Eggs
Raising animals is a way of life for us. From our first foray into urban farming (two piglets in 2014) to our past decade of raising laying hens, customers have come to expect high quality meat and eggs from us. We are used to getting up for morning chores and finishing the day with evening feed time. Our animals live the good life on ReWild farm - quality food to eat, pasture space to frolic and attentive care.
All Natural Pork
Every couple of years we raise pigs on the farm. It takes special people to enjoy raising pigs - and yet we just keep doing it! These animals keep us on our toes from the earliest spring when they are only 20 pounds to the fall when then top out around 280 pounds. Our pigs enjoy fresh produce in their morning and evening slop buckets, play time in the pasture and only the finest mudholes.
Pasture Raised Lamb
On the years we're not raising pigs, we fill our pasture with spring lambs. These lambs come to us as "bum lambs" that need to be bottle fed for the first few months of their lives. As the summer heat grows, the lambs become grass-mowing and compost-producing machines for the farm! Their leaping and racing antics keep us amused, especially when they play 'chase the chickens'.
Free Range Meat Chickens
With the barn for roosting and the pasture for roaming, our meat chickens truly are 'free' rangers. We raise meat chicken flocks in small groups - 30-40 birds - so that they have plenty of space to enjoy. Fast and efficient growers, these birds typically reach 4-5 pounds, ready for your freezer.
Farm Fresh Eggs
Of course, the real stars of the farm are our flock of laying hens. The ladies rule the pasture and magically convert all the bugs and vegetables they eat into delicious eggs. Weekly egg subscriptions are a hot commodity and typically have a waiting list. Our flock is expanding this year, so we'll be offering more egg subscriptions starting in November 2025. Weekly Egg Subscription
$5 / dozen
Members who enjoy farm-fresh eggs can sign up to receive a weekly dozen. Our eggs are in high demand and weekly subscription customers get first dib on the eggs. Priced at $5 per dozen, invoiced monthly.
